Ridgewood, NJ Residence

This project raised the roof of a Cape-Cod style home and, with a series of additions, created a larger home for a growing family.  The project put an addition on the back of the home that expanded the renovated kitchen and family room at the first floor and added a new bedroom at the second floor. The kitchen expansion has an eat-in dining area and and open plan to the adjacent family room.   It was important to the homeowners that this renovation use as much daylight as possible with the use of large windows and that the renovation would be sensitive to the existing house both on the exterior and the interior.  Scale, proportion, style and details of the existing house were used to seamlessly integrate the new addition with the original home.
